Card Washing - "Card shuffling technique that consists in spreading all the cards from a deck face down on the gaming table and mixing them with the hand in a flat position, as if immitating the action of washing. This lowers the chances that pairs or previously formed card arrangements stay unshuffled, for this reason washing being performed after each hand in poker. In other games, such as baccarat or blackjack, it is usually performed only once, when a new deck of cards is insearted in game. Washing cards is usually followed by other more conventional techniques of shuffling the cards"
