The online betting site Bet on Sports announced Tuesday the signing an agreement with US Department of Justice. According to the agreement, Bet on Sports would be able to continue providing online gambling services from the end of the week.
Gary Kaplan who owns of Bet on Sports was charged with 20 felony violations of federal laws including the wire act, racketeer influenced and corrupt organizations conspiracy, interstate transportation of gambling paraphernalia, interference with the administration of internal revenue laws and more.
David Carruthers, the CEO of Bet on Sports and other Bet on Sports managers will be leaving the company so it will be able to continue providing gambling services. Carruthers was detained by US federal authorities on charges of racketeering, conspiracy and fraud.
Now, the online gambling industry waits for the final decision on Bet on Sports future, due to the upcoming days. This result of Bet on Sports hearing is expected to have an affect on the organization as well as on other online gambling companies.
