Casino Magic Bay St. Louis opened its temporary gaming area to the public on Friday. The casino was damaged by hurricane Katrina last summer.
According to the casino Senior Marketing Director Marty Moore, the casino hotel opening is scheduled to the end of this year. The temporary casino will be placed on the first floor of the Magic Bay Tower hotel, which is also being constructed after hurricane Katrina damages.
The casino golf course the bridges was reopened only a few months after being destructed by the storm. Moore said that the golf course gains success at his temporary location and he hopes it will succeed at the new location as well.
Casino Magic Bay plans to build a land based permanent casino. The casino building schedule is delayed until the temporary casino would start making profits.
