Bobby Neary of Granite Bay came second in the Aussie Millions poker tournament violated the NCAA rules for wearing an online poker outfit.

Second runner at the January poker tournament might risk his future in the Sonoma State mens golf team. Bobby Neary participation and winning 520,000 dollars in the Aussie Millions poker tournament did not breach NCAA gambling rules. He may be banned from the golf team for wearing an outfit that was provided by an online poker room.

Sonoma State athletic director Bill Fusco said Neary would be able to practice with the team until the NCAA verdicts. The Sonoma State spring season opens in Feb. 26.

Bobby Neary, 21, a business major arrived to the Australian poker tournament after winning in a satellite tournament at an online poker website. In order to participate he had to agree to the site terms and conditions which demanded him to wear its outfit during the tournament.
