Boyd Gaming and MGM MIRAGE announced Friday the launch of the renovated public space at Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City. The new open space features three new restaurants, additional casino games, a bigger poker room and a second nightclub.
The Water Club at Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City is expected to be open by the fourth quarter of 2007. The additional hotel will include about 800 guest rooms and suites, four swimming pools and a spa
William S. Boyd, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Boyd Gaming, spoke at the opening ceremony about his beliefs that Borgata expansion can benefit in turning Atlantic City into a leading entertainment destination. MGM MIRAGE Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Terry Lanni added that Borgata new facilities will mark the beginning of a new era for Atlantic City as a center for dining, entertainment and leisure on the East Coast.
The Las Vegas based gaming company Boyd Gaming Corporation owns and operates 20 properties statewide including Nevada, New Jersey, Mississippi, Illinois, Indiana , Louisiana and Florida. MGM MIRAGE is one of the biggest hotel and gaming companies in the world. It owns and operates 23 properties in Nevada, Mississippi and Michigan.
