The Pennsylvania chapter of Disabled American Veterans and M&S Harley Davidson will be holding a charity poker run.
The Poker Run will take place June 14th (Flag Day). Registration will take place from 9am till 11am with the last rider pulling out by 11am and the last rider crossing the finishing line by 1:30pm.
The prize for the poker run will be $100 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd place $30 for 3rd place and $20 for 4th place. There will also be door prizes a raffle and event shirts for sale with the proceeds all going to local veterans. To register all you need to do is make a donation to the Disabled American Veterans who will use the money to help Veterans at the South Mountain Rest Home and the Martinsburg VA hospital in West Virginia.
Attempts are being made to have WQDM, a local radio station cover the event. The cost of this is $3000. Anyone making a $500 donation will receive air time on the station, 3 weeks of publicity on their website and newsletter and will have their company logo placed on the even shirts.
A flag that was flown over Baghdad will be raffled off by the Franklin County Military Outreach Program, as well as a $100 gas card.
Proceeds from the flag and gas card raffle will go to help family members of deployed soldiers. All presentations will be held after the event ends at M&S Harley Davidson on 160 Falling Springs Rd in Chambersburg PA. Please come out and support your local disabled veterans.
