Ohio state investigation led to a cancellation of a charity poker tournament, which was scheduled to Thursday. The company that supplied poker equipment for poker charity events is suspected of steeling charity money.
State officials had filed a restraining order against Reece Powers who cannot organize any poker tournament or casino charity events until the suspicious are settled in court. Powers denied ever taking money from charity. The attorney generals office plans to order Powers to return the charity money he had taken from several schools and churches.
In the meantime, the Wayne Football Alumni Club poker tournament is cancelled. Powers was supposed to provide equipment to the planned tournament that was scheduled to Thursday.
