Compulsive gambling bill is on its way waiting for the governor approval. According to the house-initiated bill, a nationwide council would provide health care services for compulsive gamblers.
The bill was proposed by state Rep. Kandy Cordova, D-Los Lunas. The bill suggests that the New Mexico Compulsive Gambling Council create a strategic program to raise the awareness to compulsive gambling and offer treatment for compulsive gamblers.
According to Cordova, more than 200,000 people in New Mexicans who are compulsive gamblers. The states
