A story recently appeared in the courts that should have belonged more in one of
Ripley's Believe It or Not television episodes. A deceased woman won a million dollar lottery!
But, facts revealed shady secrets instead of unimaginable ghost walking rumors. As Sherlock Holmes once said, "If by eliminating all that which cannot have occurred, then what you are left with, however unbelievable, must and is the truth."
Likewise, it all began when a woman was caught using the credit card of her former-boyfriend's mother, who had passed away about a year before. Unfortunately, she not only used the card to buy a lottery ticket for herself but she also won the enormous sum of one million dollars.
The poor lady, who hails from White City, will have to be happy that all she got was probation, but she insists that the money belongs to her. She hoped that the fact that she used part of the winnings to pay off the twelve thousand dollars credit she had built up on that card, and the fact that she pleaded guilty will convince the judge to rule that she keep the money. But, though she bought the lottery card, the happy winners will be the Medford Police Department.
