Unexpectedly, Gala Bingo, the largest land-based bingo hall in the UK and an online bingo site operator, closed its site. Thousands of Gala online players as well as its affiliates were more than surprised to remain without the site until Gala will restart its site the next month.
Gala did not give any official explanation, but it has been said that there were disagreements between Gala and St. Minver bingo network, through which the Gala site was functioning, and by the end of the contract between these two companies, Gala website went offline.
Many bingo portals had to remove their Gala promotions and to direct their visitors to other bingo sites. Other UK bingo sites took advantage of the situation and now are competing to fill the void space left by disappeared Gala Bingo. Some of these sites (like DailyRecordBingo and MirrorBingo) offer special bonuses to players affected by the disappearance of Gala Bingo.
