Cannery Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas announced the opening of its new poker room and race and sports book. The casino hotel new bingo hall, a new Italian restaurant, and a deli are accepted to be open by the third quarter of 2006.
Cannery Casino and Hotel new poker room features 14 tables where visitors would be able to choose between low and medium limit Texas Holdem, Omaha and 7 card stud poker games. The casino continues with its traditional daily Holdem tournaments at 10 am in addition to its monthly freerolls.
Cannery Casino new race and sports book is located next to the new poker room. The 129 seats room features individual 15-inch computer screen and earphones at each player station, 50 inch LCD television screens, and eight wagering windows. Horse races would be screened on a 60-inch center screen every day.
The new poker room, race book and sports book are the third phase of Cannery Casino and Hotel expansion project, which begun in August 2004 with the building of a 5-story covered garage with 1,903 parking spaces and the extension of the slots area. During the second phase of the project, a 96,400 square feet. Galaxy Movie Theatres a floor was built.
