The English capital has been names as the European center of poker by none other than Bluff Europe. Terming it as the Number One Poker City in
Europe because of the vigorous improvements the city has taken to welcome and accommodate poker games in its vicinity, Bluff further claims that
London rises high above some of the other European cities that have also been poker venues such as
Tallinn,
Barcelona,
Monte Carlo and
Dublin.
One of the major reasons that London was tagged as being the hottest European poker destination was because of the extra-ordinarily large diversity of games that one can find there ranging from anything like the typical poker game at home to internationally acclaimed tournaments that attracts high-profile poker stars and celebrities. In addition, London embraced this card game by not only being the venue for no less than twenty-four casinos and many other card rooms.
The most recent poker room and casino to open was in Leicester Square. Named the Empire, its opening party drew in stars not only from the Queen's realm, but also from other parts of Europe, America and the rest of the world.
The World Series of Poker Europe is also set to land in London in the coming autumn along with the Grosvenor Poker Tour Grand Final and the European Poker Tour.
And the UK government is not only looking on, they are paving the way for more and more poke r by creating regulations that permit and legalize these games not only at casinos but also at online casinos and poker rooms online. This shift in government policy has not only benefited the tax payer, but has caused a surge in poker playing especially from those in the US who have been banned from playing because of new US government regulations.
