Monday morning a man walked in to the Lucky Diamond casino armed with a knife and robed the place.
The local police in Missoula said the man walked in the main entrance around 4:45 in the morning on Monday.
The assailant walked up to the casinos only night time worker and with knife in hand demanded that she hand over all the money she had on her. The worker complied and no one was hurt in the robbery. At the time of the robbery there were no players in the Montana casino.
The amount of money the thief got away with was not disclosed to the public. The only things the police have said is that after fleeing the casino the thief climbed into a silver car with tinted windows and a raised rear. It was a newer modeled car of unknown type and model, and that he is described as a 30 something year old Native American, just under 6 feet tall and he was wearing dark sunglasses and a blue pullover.
Even though the casino has previously been robbed by a man with a knife they do not feel from the description that this was related to the casinos previous robbery or to any other crimes in the area. The casino has given all the pertinent security tapes to the police and they are currently trying to identify and locate the thief.
Casinos have now become more popular to rob in recent years then convenience stores. Many of the local casinos have beefed up their night time security, but unfortunately the Lucky Diamond was not one of those casinos.
