As a result of negotiations with Menashe Business Mercantile Limited and Dr. Menashe, Microgaming has acquired a license to exploit the technology used in Dr. Menashes online casinos. The license enables Microgaming, all its associates and licensees to use this technology.
Roger Raatgever, the Microgaming Chief Executive Officer, says that in a young industry such as online gambling, it is impossible to avoid patent and other intellectual property claims. Although most of this claims erroneous or spurious, Microgaming is happy to announce that it has negotiated a license.
Dr. Menashe is also pleased by the results of the negotiation. He says that, as he hoped, knowing the reputation and standing of Microgaming, they reached an amicable settlement that satisfies both sides.
