Local owners of bars, restaurants and bowling alleys claim they were discriminated comparing to casi

The associations of hospitality businesses filed a lawsuit against New Jersey state decision to exclude casinos from the smoking ban law. The suit was filed on Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Trenton.

The business owners claim in the lawsuit that the smoking ban law in public indoor places has to include casinos, or to be removed. They claim that the exclusion of casinos discriminate restaurants, bars, bowling alleys and other business that will face losses from ban smoking.

The smoking ban law was approved by lawmakers in January and about to take affect from April 15. The law was introduced in order to protect employees and customers from second-hand smoke. Casinos were excluded from the law to protect the gambling industry from losses.
