Holdem Foldem was founded in 2001 along with the boost of online poker in the US and worldwide. Originally, it provided information on the online poker world including poker room reviews, online poker bonuses and tournament schedules. With the new anti internet gambling law, the online poker directory focuses on providing information on home poker games.
Holdem Foldem features a forum where members can post messages on home poker games in their area. According to Damon, one of the site founders, since it was relaunched players from the US, Canada and Europe had posted messages about local poker games. He added that he is knows about several poker buddies that got together with the help of the forum.
In addition to information on home poker games, Holdem Foldem forum members can share poker strategy tips, recommendations on card rooms, poker equipment and even recipes to poker party foods and beverages.
