The independent filmmaker Nick Scott financed his last film from winning online poker tournaments.

Nick Scott was a frustrated independent filmmaker until he was introduced to the online poker world. After playing Betfair daily 15,000 sterling pounds poker tournaments, Scott had earned enough money to finance his next film.

Breaker is probably the first film in history to be funded by online poker winning. The short movie that was directed by Nick Scott and produced by Fiona Brownlie, tells the story of an artist who throws bricks through windows to create a controversial piece of art.

After playing six hours at the Betfair 15 pounds tournament, Scott won enough money to open his own production company titled The Winners and put Breaker into pre production. Breaker premier is scheduled to October 13 at the Curzon Cinema in Soho. Scott is still a regular at Betfair poker room but his next project a feature titled Black Box Recorder requires a more serious investment.
