People who visited the Western Fair Raceway slots met the Within Limits staff whos purpose is to raise awareness to problem gambling.
The attack on the Western Fair is part of the group problem gambling awareness month. The group which is connected to the Responsible Gambling Council of Ontario plans to visit all 63 of Ontario gambling venues. Woodstock Raceway slots will be the next gambling venue that will be visited.
According to the chief executive of the Responsible Gambling Council, Jon Kelly, the decision to move their awareness activity to gambling venues was supported by Ontario casinos organization and Ontario Lottery. He said that about 4 percent of the population suffers from problem gambling
