The third expansion of the
Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, Nevada will include a new poker room and a race and sports book.
Station Casinos announced the groundbreaking of the expansion plan at the Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, Nevada. The 110 million dollars expansion is its third major expansion since the opening of the luxurious casino resort in December 2001.
The 110 million dollars expansion of Station Casinos Green Valley Ranch had begun on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 and it is expected to be done by the spring of 2007. The plan includes an addition of a three levels parking lot, a 170 seat race and sports book, a new poker room, slot and video poker machines, two restaurants and 14,000 square feet of convention space.
According to Scott Kreeger, Senior Vice President of Operations for Green Valley Ranch and Red Rock Casino, the expansion of the casino resort results from the growth of the city of Henderson. He added that the casino resort is popular among Henderson locals and it is becoming popular destination for tourists who seek an alternative for the Las Vegas Strip.
Green Valley Ranch is a joint venture between Station Casinos and GCR Gaming. The casino includes over 2,700 slot and video poker machines and 55 gaming tables including blackjack, roulette, craps and mini baccarat. The casino was voted Best Players Club by the Las Vegas Review Journal.
