The Players Network announced signing a deal with Playboy Enterprises Alta Loma Entertainment to co-produce a new reality TV series. Playboys Women of Poker will feature competition between women for entering Playboys Poker Team, which includes appearing in a Playboy Magazine.
Players Network CEO, Mark Bradley said that the mixture of poker and the Playboy brand is a winning formula for a successful TV series. He said he hopes the TV show would benefit both companies. According to Michael Berk, the creator of the series said President of Production for Players Network, Playboy and poker are the hottest trends in television and the collaboration between them cannot fail.
Five regional qualifying Texas Holdem poker tournaments will be held in several locations in the US. The thirty finalists will win a trip to Vegas and an opportunity to compete for a part in the TV series. The six winners who will prove modeling skill as well as poker skills throughout the series will become the members of the Playboys Poker Team and play in charity poker tournaments.
