Nevada Casinos Hope to Be First to Get Golden Ticket

Nevada's casinos are hoping to be first to get licensed if and when the online casino ban is reversed.

Since the bottom fell out of the American economy Nevada's casinos have been struggling to the point that state gambling regulators are seriously considering lowering the minimum age that players may enter a casino to gamble from 21 to 18 years old.

But the casinos are not letting the economy get them down. They are already looking towards the future, and the future is online casinos. The Democrats are about to take control of the White House, the Senate and Congress, and many people are speculating that they will regulate online gambling. Once online casino gambling becomes legal in the USA it is expected that Nevada's casinos will be the first to be licensed and allowed to operate in the USA.

Vegas insiders are saying that if Vegas's big name casinos can get into the market first they will take a large percentage of the business and keep it when smaller European casinos are allowed back into the American market because they have brand names that people will trust, even if they have played at the European online casinos prior to the UIGEA in 2006.

Most online casinos have stopped all business within the United States since the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was signed in 2006, and recently the UIGEA rules have been posted and some of the few remaining online casinos that were still accepting American players have now also left the American Market.

If the laws on Online Gambling are changed it is a sure bet that all the casinos that were once operating in the USA would want to service American customers again, but they would have to become licensed by the American government before they could accept any bets from American players.
