At 3:45 in the morning the quiet of the Tulalip resort hotel and casino was shattered by the sounds of the fire alarm, after a small fire broke out. Local fire crews from Marysville and the Tulalip bay fir department were called to fight the fire.
Upon arriving at the casino the firemen found the fire had already been stopped by the casinos sprinkler system. The casino staff managed to evacuate all 100 guests from the floor of the fire and the surrounding floors. No injuries were reported
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the fire investigators, but it seems a cigarette tossed into a planter box was the start of this fire. Any damage estimates have not been released.
Four fire engines, two ambulances and a ladder truck responded to the casinos fire alarm.
The casino is located north of Seattle in the town of Tulalip. The recently opened casino and hotel offers 370 rooms.
