The new competitor has not yet imposed signs of panic to the already existing casinos.
The probable target competitor is the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort; however, the CEO Andy Asselin indicated that the new addition of this casino will not hurt their business. Asselin remarked they are unique in their own business plans.
Andy Asselin also had to say that "Mount Pleasant is a perfect location for people and it's centrally located! We also have the Saganing Eagles Landing Casino location to serve guests." “Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe was never in opposition to other tribal casinos opening up in the nearby location,” he added.
I-94 near Battle Creek will be the center of the location of the FireKeepers Casino, which will be up in business this summer.
Jamie Stuck, the treasurer for the Nottawaseppi Tribal Council stated that the casino will be a pride and a source of income for the community.
The approvals for the casino took a long way to be where it is now. Reportedly, this will be the 22nd casino in Michigan. Stuck was thankful for the Federal recognition of the Tribe, because if they were not listed in the Federal Tribes Books, the FireKeepers would have been an unaccomplished dream.
The casino is starting up with a 4-diamond rating and the management of the casino will work towards providing with better customer care and better player experience.
